What is Manganese?

Although the body contains a relatively small amount of manganese, it is an important mineral. Manganese is needed for fat and protein metabolism, and is used in energy formation. It is required for normal bone growth and reproduction. Manganese helps the nerves to function properly and aids in healthy blood sugar regulation. It also supports the immune system by stimulating antibody response and cells that protect the body from bacteria and other foreign matter.
